Recruiter Resume Examples

Free Sample ATS-Optimized Updated 2026

A strong recruiter resume proves you can fill roles fast and well, so lead with hiring metrics, the ATS and CRM tools you know, and the requisition volume you carried. Recruiting resumes are almost always screened by an applicant tracking system first, so mirror the job posting’s language and keep the layout to clean, single-column text with standard headings.

What makes a strong Recruiter resume?

Hiring managers scan for proof that you own full-cycle recruiting and hit your numbers. Make that easy to find in the top third of page one.

  • Lead with metrics. Quantify time-to-fill, requisitions closed, offer-acceptance rate, and hires per quarter instead of listing duties.
  • Name your tools. Spell out the ATS and CRM you used (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby) plus LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean sourcing.
  • Show the full cycle. Sourcing, screening, interview coordination, closing offers, and managing stakeholders proves you ran the whole process.
  • Match the req type. Signal whether you recruit tech, sales, healthcare, or high-volume roles so the resume reads as relevant.

Recruiter resume sections

Header: Name, city/state, phone, email, and a LinkedIn URL — no headshot or full street address.
Summary: Two or three lines with your recruiting focus, years of experience, and one standout hiring metric.
Skills: Full-cycle recruiting, sourcing, ATS/CRM tools, Boolean search, offer negotiation, and stakeholder management.
Experience: Reverse-chronological roles with metric-led bullets (reqs filled, time-to-fill, acceptance rate).
Education: Degree, school, and graduation year; a related field like HR or business helps but is not required.
Certifications/Licenses: Recruiting has no license, but list credentials like AIRS (CIR, CDR, PRC), SHRM-CP, PHR/SPHR (HRCI), or LinkedIn Recruiter Certified Professional.

Common mistakes

  • Listing responsibilities (“responsible for sourcing candidates”) with no numbers to back them up.
  • Leaving out the ATS and CRM platform names that recruiters and keyword filters look for.
  • Using a two-column or graphic-heavy template that an ATS can misread or scramble.
  • Making vague claims like “great communicator” instead of interview or offer-acceptance results.
  • Burying certifications or LinkedIn Recruiter experience at the bottom where screeners miss them.

ATS keywords for recruiters

Work these terms in naturally wherever they are true to your experience: full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, sourcing, Boolean search, applicant tracking system (ATS), candidate pipeline, requisition management, LinkedIn Recruiter, offer negotiation, stakeholder management, time-to-fill, candidate experience, and diversity recruiting.
