Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fresume.com collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have over your data.

Information we collect
When you visit Fresume.com or use the Fresume app, we collect the information needed to run the product, keep your account secure, and improve the website. This includes:
- Account information — your name, email address, and login credentials, or the basic profile details shared when you sign in with Google or LinkedIn.
- Resume and career data — resumes, cover letters, work history, skills, job preferences, saved jobs, application-tracking notes, and AI-generated drafts you create or upload.
- Payment information — when you subscribe to Premium, payments are processed by Stripe. Fresume receives limited transaction details but never stores your full card number.
- Usage and device data — basic analytics, technical logs, IP address, and browser or device information used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and personalize Fresume features — building and exporting resumes, generating cover letters and match scores, powering the job board and job tracker, and running the Chrome extension autofill. We also use it to process payments, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with our legal obligations, and send you service-related messages about your account. Your resume and application data are used only to power your own job search.
Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Stripe — securely processes subscription payments; Fresume never sees your full card details.
- Google and LinkedIn — used only if you choose to sign in with those accounts, to verify your identity and set up your profile.
- Analytics providers — help us understand aggregate, anonymized website usage so we can improve the product.
Cookies and analytics
Fresume.com uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure aggregate site usage. Essential cookies are required for core features such as authentication to work. You can control or block non-essential cookies through your browser settings at any time.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and resume data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period afterward to meet legal, security, and accounting obligations. You can delete individual documents from within the app at any time, or request full deletion of your account and associated data by emailing [email protected]. We respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Your privacy rights (GDPR and CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. Under the GDPR (EU and UK), you can access, correct, export, or erase your data, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Under the CCPA/CPRA (California), you can request access to or deletion of your personal information, correct inaccuracies, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — we will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Does Fresume sell my data?
No. We do not sell your data. Your resume and application data are used only to power your own job search, and we never share your resume or account information for third-party advertising. You own your career data, and you can export or delete it at any time.
